Europe Data Center Project

The Europe Data Center is a high-technology contracting project covering the selection, procurement, installation, testing and periodic maintenance of all technical equipment systems. Delivered on a turnkey basis, its scope also included all construction works carried out in parallel.

The Turkcell Europe Data Center is located in the Karaağaç Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) in the Kapaklı district of Tekirdağ province; construction began on 8 March 2019.

The electromechanical equipment used in the Turkcell Europe Data Center underwent a phased testing process from Level 1 to Level 5. Beginning with factory tests and concluding with integrated system tests, this process verified the quality, specification compliance and performance of all equipment, as well as its ability to operate as a fully integrated system.

As part of the project, an independent TAD-certified consultancy balanced the CAV/VAV units in the ventilation system and the dynamic balancing valves in the cooling system. The process concluded with the Uptime TCCF tests, all of which were completed successfully with no issues recorded. High-efficiency equipment was specified throughout, and the devices and systems deployed, such as electric vehicle charging stations and solar power plants, were selected to minimize environmental impact during both construction and the facility’s operational life. As a result, the project was awarded LEED Gold certification.
