Press Bulletin / August 2026
A joint milestone in Germany: two data centers with a planned grid connection capacity of up to 90 MVA will be developed on the newly acquired Cologne site.
SERBAN and Bauwens Development have acquired a plot of land measuring approximately 26,181 m² in Cologne through joint project companies. Two data centers with a planned grid connection capacity of up to 90 MVA will be developed on the site.
A First for Both Partners in Germany
The site offers excellent conditions for the expansion of high-performance digital infrastructure. For SERBAN and Bauwens, this partnership marks a significant milestone: it is their first land acquisition for a dedicated data center project in Germany.
Strengthening the Rhineland as a Digital Location
At the same time, the project strengthens the Rhineland’s position as an attractive location for digital infrastructure and complements the developments already underway in the region.
“We look forward to actively shaping the digital future of Germany and the Rhineland mining region together with Bauwens, a construction company with a 120-year history.”
